It seems fringe groups won't leave anyone at peace on Valentine's Day, including animals. With incidents of the groups forcibly marrying off people for roaming around in public, they now chose to subject animals to the awkward situation of getting married to someone who probably isn't their obvious choice for a soul mate – or even same species.

In one incident, Bharat Hindu Front cadres on Wednesday performed marriage rituals between a dog and a donkey in Chennai to protest Valentine's Day. The protesters were however later detained by police.

For people who seem like they wouldn't have a hunch about getting that magical spark going, these protesters seemed to know all the stereotypical tricks to get the 'couple' in the mood.

But fringe groups probably grew bored of marrying off animals because, well, they're dogs and donkeys and have no idea they're getting married.

So protesters went back to creating havoc as members of Bajrang Dal harassed couples at Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad. The miscreants were later detained by the police.

Moreover, Bajrang Dal members in Hyderabad staged a protest against Valentine's Day.
